Those interested in taking more philosophy than is required by the Liberal Arts Curriculum should consider a minor, which involves a total of six courses. In addition to the two introductory courses, PHIL 201-202 or their equivalents (PHIL 211-212 or HSPH 101-102), students must choose four additional courses from the list below. Notice of the minor will appear on the student's official academic record.

University Honors Program
Students in the University Honors Program who have completed the four-course sequence in philosophy (HSPH 101-204) must choose two more courses from the list above, but may not choose PHIL 305, 309, 313, 331, or 355. If the student is pursuing a Philosophy major or wants to leave this option open, the student should ask the philosophy advisor which two additional courses of the minor to take in order to ensure they also satisfy major requirements.
