Students in front of the Colosseum in Rome

The School of Philosophy encourages all undergraduates to participate in one of the many study abroad programs available to students at Catholic University. The University’s flagship program in Rome is a popular destination for philosophy majors, as is our Oxford University program. Other destinations for our majors have included London, Dublin, Berlin, Amman, Shanghai, and Santiago de Chile.

Philosophy majors typically study abroad in their junior year. Students interested in studying abroad should plan to meet with their academic advisor early on, optimally in the spring of their freshmen year, or in the fall of sophomore year. In this way, they will derive maximum benefit from the particular study abroad program that interests them, while ensuring that they remain on track for graduation.
