    Fr. Ignacio de Ribera-Martin was born and raised in Madrid, Spain. He joined the Religious Institute, Disciples of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, in 1996 and was ordained a Roman Catholic priest in 2005. In addition to his doctorate in philosophy, he holds advanced degrees in classics and theology.  He joined the Faculty of the School of Philosophy in 2013. Since 2014, he has been the Faculty Advisor for the Pre-Theology Program of the School of Philosophy. And Since 2023 he is the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies of the School of Philosophy. 

    Currently, his research focuses on Aristotle’s philosophy of nature and life in the De anima and in The Generation of Animals. He is also interested in the harmony between faith and reason, and in the dialogue between philosophy and theology.
