Timothy Noone, ordinary professor and the Father Kurt Pritzl Chair of Philosophy, has been awarded a Franklin Research Grant from the American Philosophical Society. As co-editor (with Kent Emery, University of Notre Dame) of the Scotus Project, Noone is overseeing the production of a critical edition of the philosophical and theological works of Blessed John Duns Scotus (c. 1265-1308). Five volumes of the critical edition have appeared to date. The grant will be used by Professor Noone in his quest to track down additional manuscript copies of Scotus's Quodlibetal Questions, which will be the next work to be published in the series.
